Q: Is it safe to use HCG?
A: Yes. Although it has not yet been approved for
weight loss, HCG is an all natural hormone that has been approved by
the FDA for other medical purposes. In order to ensure your safety,
we require you to provide us with detailed medical information and
conduct tests before you begin an HCG therapy program. Please see
the adverse reactions to taking HCG to learn more about potential
side effects.
Q: How long will it take for the HCG to arrive once
I have been approved for the program?
A: Once you are approved for the program and a
prescription has been provided by the doctor, we will contact the
pharmacy to have your prescription filled and mailed directly to you.
Q: Will my insurance company cover the cost
of HCG therapy?
A: Whether or not your insurance company will cover
the costs depends upon your coverage, though it usually is not
covered. Medicaid and Medicare do not currently cover these
expenses.
Q: Why is it necessary to get updated
medical information and tests?
A: Even if you used to be a patient with a different
weight loss clinic, our physicians need to be certain the
information they have is accurate and current. In this way, we can
create the program that will be most likely to bring you success
without taking any unnecessary medical risks.
Q: Why does the cost for blood testing vary
with different companies?
The panel of tests you undergo may be different
according to what the doctor has prescribed. Each doctor determines
which tests he or she feels need to be taken in order to guarantee
the best chance of long term success through HCG Weight Loss
Therapy. In addition, the appropriate tests must be taken in order
to make sure the patient is not at risk due to pre-existing health
issues.
Q: How can I determine if a weight loss
clinic is legitimate?
A legitimate weight loss clinic will be a licensed
medical facility that employs medical professionals on a full time
basis. The clinic should have real doctors on staff that review and
evaluate each case. In addition, a legitimate weight loss clinic
will only prescribe and sell medication that is manufactured in the
United States and, therefore, is legal to use.
Q: Will my blood test results be affected if
I am currently on a hormone program?
A: NO. The basic blood tests that we do will not
affect the results.
Q: Why do I need to have my blood tested and
monitored?
A: By testing your blood, we can rule out a number
of serious medical problems such as liver disease, metabolic
disorders, prostate issues,
and diabetes before we start a treatment program. Each of these
conditions can exist without any symptoms, but a simple blood test
can catch the problem early and give you a better chance of
successful treatment. Through regular testing, your health can be
better monitored and a baseline that is easy to track can be
established.
Q: Is it necessary to see a doctor in order
to get a blood test?
A: No. You can request a blood test without seeing a
doctor first. When selecting a facility, be certain to use one that
is CLIA certified and that is regulated by the appropriate state and
national governmental agencies. Once you have taken the blood tests,
they will be reviewed and submitted by our licensed medical staff.
The test panels we use have been designed and approved by our
Medical Director, who is a Board Certified naturopathic physician.
Q: Do I have to make an appointment?
A: No. Just go to a lab that is nearest to you. You do not need to make
an appointment to be seen.
Q: What instructions will I need to follow
before testing?
Whether or not you need to follow any special
instructions will depend upon the test or tests included in your
panel. Information regarding special instructions, if any, will be
provided to you when you receive your confirmation notification.
Q: Should I take my prescribed medicines
before testing?
A: You should always take medications that have been
prescribed by your doctor unless otherwise instructed by a doctor.
Q: Do I need to monitor my liquid or food
intake before testing?
A: Yes. It is generally best to avoid eating or
drinking at least 8 to 10 hours before testing, though this is not
necessary for all tests. Be certain to review and to follow any
special testing requirements before taking the test or tests.
Q: How do I receive my test results?
A: Your test results will be automatically sent to
us after your lab work is complete. It will then be reviewed by our
medical professionals, after which you will be notified by either
phone or email.
Q: Is the testing accurate?
A: Our national laboratories are licensed and fully
accredited at both the national and state level.
Q: Do you keep your test results and
treatment plans confidential?
A. Yes. We respect your privacy and are fully
compliant with HIPAA regulations, which means we maintain a strict
level of confidentiality.
Q: Will my test results be written in a way
I can understand?
A: Yes. You will be provided tests results that
highlight abnormal results and that show the normal reference
ranges. You will also receive a detailed explanation of your
results, which can be viewed on the site. You are also welcome to
contact one of our medical staff members in order to answer any
additional questions that you might have.
Q: What happens if I have abnormal test
results?
A: If any of your test results come back as
abnormal, you should discuss them with your primary care physician.
Q: Who will review my results?
A: A licensed health professional from HCG Wellness
Center
will review your test results.
Q: When do I receive my results?
You should be able to review and to print our test
results within 48 to 72 hours after the testing takes place.

your blood drawn or where you can have urine samples taken, that can
be found in your area.

Q: Is there a link between hCG and breast
cancer?
A: Although hCG has been shown in multiple studies
to have some
protective attributes against certain types of breast cancer,
there has also been some limited research on the possibility of a
link between certain types of pre-existing breast cancers and hCG.
These studies have been very limited and animal studies only. Here
at The HCG Wellness Center, we try to keep up on the latest research and keep
our clients informed. We have always taken measures to protect our
clients and will continue to do so.
